Karma Dupgyud Choeling Monastery, Leh, Jammu and Kashmir - Architectural style and houses seventeen Karmapas
Ladakh is one of the Dharma centers and the Karma Dupgyud Choeling Monastery is situated about 9 km from Leh. This Buddhist Monastery is run by the Karmapa sect of Tibetan Buddhists. In the monastery, there are seventeen Karmapas. In propagating the values of Tibetan Buddhism and for the preservation of traditional Buddhist cultures, the monastery plays an important role. There is a training centre in the monastery that draws lots of respect from Buddhist followers. Visitors can spend their time understanding the Karmapa teachings in this Gompa. The place is easily reachable and must be visited.
