Kala Bhavan is the main centre for the study and research in the field of visual arts and is located in the complex of Vishwa Bharati University. It was established by Rabindranath Tagore in 1919 and today it offers various subjects including art, painting, graphic design, sculpture and artistic design. It also houses a Studio for Visual Arts and Kala Bhavan Museum where around 19,000 articles are housed for the ease of the students. Several researches are also conducted here by the students studying in the university from all across the world.
