Reach Ladakh by Rail
Jammu is the nearest railway station to reach Ladakh which is 734 km from Leh. It does not have its own rail head, thus the tourists have to take a bus or a taxi from the Jammu station and it takes about 2 days to reach Leh. Jammu is well linked with some of the major states and cities around the country.
Reach Ladakh by Road
Ladakh is connected to the rest of the country with the Srinagar- Leh road which is 434 km and is open to the travelers from June to November. There are JKSRTC operated buses and private buses that run regularly between Leh and Srinagar. Moreover, taxis and jeeps are also available from Srinagar to reach Ladakh by road. Another way to reach the region is through 473 km Manali-Leh Highway.
Reach Ladakh by Air
Leh has an airport of its own from where the flights to Delhi, Chandigarh, Srinagar and Jammu are available for the travelers. The major airlines that operate from this airport are India Airlines and Jet Airways. From the airport, there are regular taxi and cab services to reach various parts in Ladakh.
