Hebron, one of the oldest cities of the world cheers in the affluent legendary history. For much of the last century the antique conurbation witnessed fierce hostility and carnage due to the conflict between Jews and Arabs. Though the metropolis is considered to be one amongst the four holy places by the Jews, the violence has led Israel government to recoil from most of the metropolis and now it is under the governance of the Palestinian government. The name of the city Hebron is the derivative from the Hebrew word 'Haver', meaning close ally or friend and it relates to Abraham, the friend of God.
