Named after the British Governor General of India Lord Hardinge, this park came into being in the year 1931 when the said Governor General visited the place. It is an ideal place for recreation, rest and relaxation and is quite crowded on weekends. It was renamed as Kunwar Singh Park after India attained independence in 1947. The park is spread over a sprawling area of 25 acres and its tranquility as well as serenity is enhanced because it is located on the banks of the Sone River. The park is frequented by tourists and locals alike.
