Located in the centre of the Lohagarh Fort, the Government Museum showcases a rich collection of archeological wealth of the region. In 1944, the palatial building known as the Kachahari Kalan was converted into a museum and later the Kamra Khas was also added to it. The major exhibits included in the museum are the excavated sculptures, artifacts from 1st to 19th century AD, paintings, zoological specimens, manuscripts, local arts and weaponry used by the royals of Bharatpur. It is indeed a landmark with having a rich amalgamation of the glorious past and rich culture of Bharatpur.
