The Glasgow Cathedral is one of Scottish bespoken church that has withstood the test of time for more than 500 years. The medieval cathedral is said to be erected on the site of St Kentigern’s tomb, the first bishop within the ancient British kingdom of Strathclyde in 612 AD. The present cathedral was constructed during 14th - 15th century AD, is admired for its Gothic architecture. The cathedral originally dates back to 550 AD and has survived the reformation of 1560AD vandalism that had almost destroyed this historic monument. The wooden roof of the church has been refurbished several times but the wood dates back to 14th century AD.
