Another of the great smaller isle destinations in the Bahamas to go to is Elbow Cay. The locals here have repute as being extremely friendly and helpful. The beaches are extremely gorgeous and the harbour area is active and interesting. A visit to the red and white striped lighthouse is the ideal way to cap off a trip to Elbow Cay. Elbow Cay is approximately 6 miles long and 1/4 mile wide. A splendid barrier reef protects the long sandy beaches, making them ideal for swimming, snorkelling, diving, and fishing.The hamlet on Elbow Cay is Hope Town, a small 18th century charming village constructed around a secluded harbour often described as a pastel-coloured New England fishing village.
