Adjoining the Orchid Sanctuary, this wildlife sanctuary is located in a protected area at the foothills of Himalayas. This isolated sanctuary is safeguarded from timber and animal poaching. The place is a famous attraction of the bird watchers as it houses a large variety of bird species. With more than 450 bird species, it has been a popular birding site in the region and some of these species include black stork, cormorants, oriental white ibis, hawks, ducks, vultures, larks, fly-catchers, kingfishers and nightjars etc. In addition, the sanctuary also houses 15 species of mammals including endangered capped langur, Asian elephant, red panda, Bengal tiger and Asiatic black bear etc. Not only this, the visitors can also see 34 species of amphibians, 24 species of snake and 7 species of lizards in the sanctuary.
