Domboor Lake, Agartala, Tripura - Natural scenic views and great display of aquatic life
The Domboor Lake in Agartala is formed by the converging Raima and Saima rivers. It is considered bewitching in the sense that it seems to burst through the green forest cover and carve its way via the verdant landscape. Situated in a picture-perfect location amidst beautiful hills, the lake teems with a rich variety of natural as well as cultured aquatic life. The 48 islands situated within the 45 sq. km. lake attract hordes of tourists who indulge in water sports and other forms of entertainment. The ‘Pous Sankranti Mela’ organised on January 14 each year witnesses many festivities.
