One of the best locations in the Bahamas to experience the bliss of snorkelling is at Deadman’s Reef. The stunning swim to reef is the best asset of this beach, a 15-minute drive from Freeport. It's part of Paradise Cove, a tiny native-owned resort that will bus you out if you call ahead. The beach is short but wide with spare vegetation and swaying palm trees. Snorkel equipment and kayaks are available to hire, and refreshments flow at the Red Bar. This beach will give you a feel of what the Out Islands are like; come here when the crowds in Lucaya become too much.
