Hindus has much importance of this Ghat in their life, therefore, those who visit Varanasi go to this Ghatfor sure. According to a myth, Lord Brahma sacrificed his ten horses in order to call back Lord Shiva from the period of exile. The same kind of story of sacrificing ten horses was repeated by Bhara Shiva Naga rulers in second century. Today, the Ghat allures lots of tourists from all over the world. The Ghat is very well-maintained and still retains it beauty and charisma. In 1740, it went through renovation by BajiraoPesava I and in 1774, the Queen of Indore, AhilyabaiHolkar add some modifications.
