City Palace Museum, Alwar, Rajasthan - Beautiful museum housing various royal arts and artefacts
Presently called as Government Museum, City Palace Museum is the only place in the town where the tourists can feel the royal elegance and grandeur of the rulers preserved here in its entirety. The museum houses a superb collection of various arts and artifacts associated with the royals of the ancient town of Alwar. It is divided into three sections among which the first one includes the exquisite sculptures, stuffed animals and valuable inscriptions. In the second section, the valuable manuscripts and miniature paintings are kept which are quite rate to be found elsewhere. The third section includes the armory and weapons, silver dining table, brass and pottery and other fascinating items that spell bound the visitors with its unique richness and charm.
