Chittorgarh Fort is the first important fort in entire Mewar region. It is located at 110 kms away from Udaipur and in reality, this gigantic fort has a lot to impress its visitors. This massive fort is spreaded in 240 hectares and is about 180m high. There are many myths related to this fort and all are quite interesting. As per ancient legend, the construction of the fort was initiated by the Bhim, one of the Panch Pandavas in Mahabharata. There are two main pillars placed in the boundary of the fort – Vijaya Stambh and Kirti Stambh. There is one most famous temple of Goddess Kali and tourists can see lots of local people came there to bow their heads especially on Sunday.
