Among the churches in north-east India, Catholic Church is listed in the biggest churches. It is located on the Aradhurah Hill of Kohima setting an example of fabulous architectural marvel. Just standing at this church, one can witness wonderful views of the surroundings. The calm and serene environment at this church gives an interesting touch to the prayers held here. In 1948, popularity of Christianity in Kohima got the pace when the Sisters of Missionaries arrived here with an aim to grant their services at new opened hospital at Kohima. Thus, as a result, a different district was created for Nagaland and Manipur states.
