The Capilano Suspension Bridge was initially built in 1889 and its 446 feet spans the Capilano River. A walk across this bridge is an actually unique experience. The Capilano Suspension Bridge has been a well-liked tourist attraction in Vancouver since 1889. The bridge spans 450 feet crossways the Capilano River at a height of 230 feet. The 27-acre park is also abode to the Kia'palano First Nations' Cultural Centre, totem pole park and treetop viewing stations 100 feet above the forest base. This family-friendly attraction also features activities for younger tourists. Walking across the Bridge, you will cross over Capilano River and enter the extravagant "wild side" which features the Living Forest display.
