Ayia Napa, Cyprus - Nightlife,Resort

Monastery, Museum, Palace

Larnaca is the fishing village and seashore resort of Ayia Nápa, bounded by lush plantations of vegetables and fruit, strange rock formations and windmills. Initially a fishing village, Agia Napa is now a chief tourist resort. The charismatic medieval monastery dedicated to "Our Lady of the Forests" stands in the center of the village. The sycamore tree in front of the south gate is supposed to be more than 600 years old. The Maritime Museum is also worth visiting while in the township. At night Agia Napa turns into one huge dance floor. The clubs in the "square", or center of the township, open their doors and crowds spill out into the streets. The streets are lined with restaurants and tourist shops and there is a profusion of hotels and hotel apartments in the region.
