Lalita Devi Temple, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh - Religious belief
Located close to the Bargad Ghat, Lalita Devi Temple is one of the most religious sites in Allahabad. According to old beliefs, the temple is Lalita Devi’s Shaktipeeth. As per one legend, Lalita Devi appeared here at this pious place at the time when the fingers of Sati had fallen to this spot. Therefore, the temple belongs to Ling, which is made up of mercury. Nowadays, the temple got highly renovated by Prabhudatta Brahmchari and is quite stunning with the height of 103 feet and has entrance gate of 41 feet. This temple gets highly crowded with uncontrollable devotees during Navratri Festival.
