Lakshmi Temple, Puri, Odisha - Religious belief and architectural grandeur
As it is very clear from the name, it is the temple of Goddess Lakshmi. This temple is a must-see destination of Puri. This striking temple is located near Lord Jagannath Temple and is quite respectable at the time of RathYatra. The legend is that at the time of marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati occurring on the sixth day of Jyestha fortnight, Goddess Lakshmi invited the couple to this sacred shrine. In Puri, the belief of the local people is that Goddess Lakshmi is there for their happiness and security, and so numerous people visited the temple daily to bow their heads in front of the Goddess.
