Lodged at the distance of 20 kms from Kohima, Kohonomo is also not to be missed destination near Kohima. This small village has lot to bind their visitors firmly and among such attractions, engraved traditional entrance gate is at the top. The village is also described in the important chapters of the history of Nagaland as it is considered to be the last mainstay of the warriors of Nagaland. The village is not easily accessible by the local buses, so it is best to hire taxis from Kohima only. Also, the terraces at different levels offers the most panoramic view and it is so done because for the cultivation of different paddy types.
