Located 3 km from Kangra, the Kangra Fort is a splendid structure of the valley and is one of the largest forts in the country. Overlooking the River Manjhi, the fort has been a mute witness to a number of battles and plunges occurred during different reins. In 1009 AD, Mohammad Ghazni occupied it and Muhammad Tuglaq conquered this magnificent fort in 1337.
