Kala Amb is a famous sightseeing place in the city which is associated with the third battle of Panipat. The word Kala Amb denotes a black mango tree where a memorial was built in the memory of the Maratha soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Panipat battle. The memorial is comprised of a strong pillar made up of bricks with an iron rod. It has been now maintained by the government Society of the state and is an important tourist’s attraction in the town that throws light on the harm caused by the furious battles.
