Japfu Peak, Kohima, Nagaland - Being highest peak of Nagaland and best pick for trekkers and nature lovers
Perched at an altitude of 3048 meters above the sea level, Japfu Peak is another fascination of the capital city Kohima. Located at a distance of only 15 kms from Kohima, Japfu Peak is adorned with the title of second highest peak of Nagaland and is densely covered with the Rhododendron trees. This wonderful tree is about 130 feet tall and has a belt of about 11 feet. What an amaze!! Just because of its amazing feature, the tree makes its place in the Guinness Book of World Records. The peak is a great delight for the trekkers and adventure enthusiasts as the view captured just standing at top of the peak is not less than being in heaven.
