Jaisamand Lake, Udaipur, Rajasthan - Picnicking and day-excursion
This lake is not a new name for the visitors in Udaipur. It is located at 51 kms away from Udaipur and Jaisamand Lake is a man-made lake built by Maharaja Jai Singh. In Asia, this lake is titled with the second largest lake. In earlier times, it was considered to be the favorite place for Bollywood directors and so we could see lots of old songs shooted on this lake. There are so many steps to reach the water, one marble Cenotaphs (Chattri) on its shore and also a magnificent Shiv Mandir. One can see local tribe – Bhils still reside here.
