Jaisalmer is famous for its magnificently constructed Havelis. Jaisalmer has many havelis to capture the heart of its visitors. The main Havelis in Jaisalmer are Salim Singh-ki-Haveli, Patwon-Ki-Haveli and Nathmalji-ki-Haveli.
Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli was built by Salim Singh in 1815 and is famous for its charming structure with an arch of striking blue cupolas. As soon as this monument was constructed, it was owned by the Mehta Family, one of the prominent families of that era.
Patwon-ki-Haveli is another impressive haveli of Jaisalmer. This haveli was built by Guman, a rich banker and merchant of Jaisalmer. But the haveli remained incomplete during his lifetime and was given finished look by his five sons.
