Gyangong Ani Gompa, Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh - A beautiful nunnery for nuns
Gyangong Ani Gompa is a beautiful nunnery which is located on a small hillock at a distance of about 5 km from Tawang. It was founded by Mera Lam Lodre Gyamtso and now is home to about 50 Buddhist nuns. Nestled amidst serene surroundings, it is presently under the control of Tawang Monastery that provides all the things of daily use to the nuns.
