Gurusthan is the holy place where Sai was first appeared in Shirdi under a Neem tree at the age of 16. The place was renovated in 1941 and a small temple was built there in the memory of Sai. The temple houses a portrait of Sai Baba and near it; there is a huge marble statue of the saint. It is believed that if incense sticks are burnt at this place, the people will get free from all kinds of ailments and sufferings.
