GadiSagar is an artificial reservoir constructed originally by King Jaisal in 1156 AD but later on, in 1367 AD, it was rebuilt by Maharaja Garsi Singh and he also changes its name to “Lake Garsisagar”. In Jaisalmer, during the era of Rajput Kings, it was the only source of water supply. At present, this gorgeous lake offers a lot for the tourists like stunning picturesque and also the entrance gate to this lake itself is great attraction and popularly known as Tilon-ki-Pol. At the time of Hindu festivals especially Gangaur, the GadiSagar becomes more charismatic with entertaining processions and also lighting arrangements.
