Corumba, often called the capital of the Pantanal, is the doorway city into the Pantanal, the biggest fenland in the world that features marshes, brooks, jungles and savannas. The Pantanal is habitat to a numerous bird species as well as mammals such as jaguars, monkeys, anacondas, caiman crocodile, piranhas and a diversity of other animals. One can board on exiting boat tour excursions all the way through the Pantanals to spot myriad wildlife. Corumba has a populace of approximately 100,000 people and is situated in western Brazil on the Bolivian boundary in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul.
