It is another major tourist attraction in the city of Shimla. Built in the year 1857, the Christ Church is the second oldest church in North India. The church was built to serve the Anglican British community. It is one of the landmarks of this peaceful city. Being situated on the ridges, Christ Church is visible from miles and from the neighboring areas of the city. Beautifully designed by Colonel J. T. Boileau in 1844, it gives a majestic feeling of serenity. The church has five windows of stained glass that represent Christian virtues like Faith, Hope, Charity, Fortitude, Patience and Humility.
