Being the home of several Mughal emperors, Agra houses numerous monuments, forts, Masjids built during the Mughal period. One of them is the ChiniKaRauzawhich is one of the masterpieces of glazed-tile decoration. Built in 1639 A.D. by MullaShukrullahShirazi, the Prime Minister of Shah Jahan, the monument is embellished with copious ornamentation presented in varied schemes of colours and this is the reason why the monument is known as ChiniKaRauza.There are four square chamberslocated in every cornerand are interconnected with the side halls or porches on all four sides.
