Chamundeshwari temple, Mysore, Karnataka - Religious belief, scenic views and awesome edifice
Perched on the pinnacle of Chamunda Hills, there is an awesome temple which is one of the most popular temples in Mysore named as the Chamundeshwari or Chamundi Temple. The main deity of this sacred temple is Goddess Chamundi. Gold and shinning silver were used to make the edifice of Goddess Chamundi. The temple is alluring just because of its quadrangular structure and the entrance has the Gopura, pyramidal tower, which is completely made out in Dravidian style. Just crossing the main gate, one could also see the statue of Lord Ganesha which is also too enticing. Also, one would love to see statue of Nandi which is placed just closed to the main gate.
