Bhishma Kund is also a holy place associated with the tales of battle of Mahabharata. This large water tank is located in the village of Narakatari near Kurukshetra. According to the beliefs, on the 10th day of Mahabharata battle, Bhishma fell down on the battle ground and asked for water. Then his grandson Arjuna pierced the land by his arrow called Parjanyastra. A water fountain gushed out of the ground and Bhishma quenched his thirst. This place is known as BhishmaKund and is still a great place of attraction for the tourists.
