Bangladesh Food
Rice is a staple food in Bangladesh in all meals. Special rice dishes such as the Biryani of Old Dhaka and the Tehari of Chittagong are the most sought-after cuisines of this South Asian realm. Bhuna Khichuri and Pulao are also famed rice dishes. Occasionally, rice is substituted by a number of different types of flat breads, such as Luchi, Mughlai Paratha, Chapati/Roti, Naan, Chital Pitha, Bakarkhani etc. Aromatic spices are also commonly used and mostly freshly ground Curry, Onion, Garlic, Ginger, Cumin, Turmeric, Cardamon seeds, Cloves, Saffron, Tamarind, Rosewater, Satkora, Bay leaves, Coconut milk, Pudina patha (mint leaves), Coriander seeds, Chili powder, fresh chilies, lemon are used in most of the dishes.
