Bada Bagh, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan - A tank, a dam and also a pillar
Though this garden is not situated in the city but the stories of its attraction is very common in the tourism in Jaisalmer. This garden is located only 6 kms away from the Jaisalmer city and on the Ramgarh road. This fantastic garden was constructed by MaharawalJait Singh but it was finished by his son Lunakaran. There are three main attractions in BadaBagh – a tank, a dam and a pillar named GoverdhanStambh. On this pillar, the name of dam and water tank, JaitBandh and Jaistsar respectively engraved. JaitBandh is a gigantic structure with a width of 350 ft and 1200 ft long.
