The Asiatic Society was established by Sir William Jones in the years 1784 with the main goal of oriental research. The former name of this society as Asiatic Society and then numerous names changed in various periods finally it has attained this title. This society’s library consists of more than 1, 17,000 books and the journals crossed the number 79,000 which are determined are entire world major languages. It employs as coffers which have coupled of 293 maps, 48,000 microfiche works, and 387,003 pages of microfilm. In addition it also facilitated the visitors with 182 inspiring paintings, pamphlets which are more than 2500. It consists of various manuscripts and photographs. The highlight of this society as it has a separate section of rare books.
