Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu - Wildlife and bird watching
Located at the distance of 90 kms away from Coimbatore just close to Pollachi, Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the must see attractions in the city. Covering an area of 958 sq. kms, this sanctuary is situated in the Western Ghats established in the year 1976. The place is actual pick for the wildlife lovers and especially enjoyed by kids. Really, it is wonderful to witness so many wild animals with the naked eyes wandering here and there in the Park. One could see here wild animals like Gaur, Elephant, Chital, Muntjac, Tiger, Sloth-bear, Wild Bear, Pangolin and many more. Also, Amaravathy reservoir in this sanctuary is a home to numerous crocodiles!
