Anjaneya Swami Temple is a famous temple in Puttaparthi on the Gopuram road and is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Nestled in a serene and calm ambience, the temple is flanked by two small shrines. The entrance of this temple is marked by a Shiva lingam which was brought by Sathya Sai Baba from Kasim. The most alluring feature of this shrine is the sanctum on which the idol is installed that looks like engraved on a cavern. A small water pool is also located at the foot of the idol that depicts Hanuman’s devotion for Lord Rama and is said that this pool was filled with the tears of Hanuman. It is indeed a must visit religious place for the devotees to be visited in the town.
