Almora Shopping

Though Almora is not a shopper’s delight yet there are many good shopping markets to buy for local items. The main shopping destination in the town is the Lal Bazaar which is about 200 years old where you can find rows of small shops to shop for the exclusive handicrafts, traditional jewelry and ethnic textile of the region. Almora is known for its excellent woolen items especially the exquisite Pashmina shawls and sheep wool blankets that showcase the excellent weaving skills of the craftsmen. Besides angora wool sweaters, handicrafts, brass items and traditional tamta are also quite popular among the tourists.
