Alipore Zoological Garden, Kolkata, West Bengal - Innumerable creatures living in this garden
The Zoological Garden in Kolkata gets the fame of the oldest in the country since it had opened for the public in 1876. This park is situated in Alipore, which is usually called as Kolkata zoo by the civilians of the city. The zoological park has extended its surroundings inthe area covering 45 acres. This park acts as the home for the specific creature of the city the Royal Bengal Tigers. Further it also provided the shelter for the extricated Aldabra Giant Tortoise Adwaita. Furthermore, people can able to see the variety of rare species like Banteng, Great Indian One-horned Rhinoceros, Crowned Crane, and the Lion-tailed Macaque in the park along with some significant reptiles.
